Programs for Adults  ~
Adult Bible Study

Bible Study for adults  is offered each Sunday at 9 AM, the Sunday School period.  Bible Study is held in the Ritter Room located on the first floor. Bring your own Bible or one will be provided for you.  The leader is Paul Rabe.

Check the Monthly Newsletter Page for announcements of  special Bible Study series offered  throughout the year, usually on a weekday evening at  6:30 PM.


The Caravaners

The CLC Caravaners is a group of people who enjoy traveling together.  Trips to dinner theaters, sightseeing destinations, shopping areas are planned throughout the year.   Reservations are required for all trips, and a  form  can be requested by calling the church office (610) 352-1610. or sending an email to clcud@libertynet.org   You may  click on the CARAVANERS page link above to find more information about  upcoming trips.


The CLC Language Institute

In an attempt to meet the needs of people who want to learn English , the CLC Language  Institute was established in September of 2003.  The Institute will have sessions throughout the year, with terms of ten weeks, and classes  each week for Beginner and   Intermediate Level Students.  The Winter session will begin January 4  at 12 N and 7 P . Registration brochures are available on the bulletin board in the Narthex or call  the Outreach Corp. at 610-352-2374  

Classes  are held at Christ Church on Monday  & Wednesday   from 10 A - 12 N   or 7P -9 P


GED Program

GED Classes are being held at Christ Church on Tuesday and Thursday Evenings from 7 to 9 PM.   Classes run for 12 weeks (24 classes)  and cover all the basic requirements for a GED certificate.  GED Prep classes were formed on Jan. 10 to help students meet the general requirements prior to taking the GED tests.  At registration the instructor will assist student  identify their need for a GED Prep Class or ability to perform in a GED Class.


ACE

A collaborative effort between the Upper Darby Community Outreach Corporation and The Institute for Leadership Education, Advancement and Development   and Harcum College, ACE offers  3 Associate's Degrees  Programs : Leadership Studies, Human Services, and Law & Justice. Assistance with resources for grants, scholarships and low-interest college loans is provided.  Classes begin in September (Fall semester) and January (Spring semester).  (High Scool  Diploma or GED required) For more information  contact   the Development Office at 610-352-2374.or visit the UD Outreach Corp. website: .udoutreachcorp.org  This group meets at Anna's Place, 248 Long Lane, Upper Darby.
